Props to Google for having the guts to take this big a risk, myself I couldn't do it and see Cuban's logic for this. Tax write-off or not it's hard to go sleep at night if you lose a billion and a half. | |

The internet still runs off of money - remember the days of free dialup and free broadband? They can't make it being free and stay online indefinately. | |

Whittier, AK | Calm down folks. Mark Cuban might be proven right in the long run. In the last week we have seen Gruoper and Bolt feel the lawsuit whip. Everyone knows that in business you go after the small fish 1st. Once Universal or any big Media Company break the smaller companies in court , they will use that as leverage to go after the bigger companies. You tube might not get sued into oblivion but the cost of showing videos will definitely be higher.

I think he will be alright and does not care about being right I mean he is fucking rich.

| YouTube I have noticed in the past month a large increase of ads on YouTube, and the numbers don't add up on the site either. Example: 'Most Viewed' videos are not the ones that are most viewed. There are videos there that have 20,000 less views than others on the site...I think YouTube is putting up what they think will draw more viewers.
I wish there was a tab at the top for ads...if you want to view a movie trailer, go there; let armatures have the other part of the site.
