TOKYO, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Japanese telecoms giant Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. is considering taking a 30 percent stake in Internet service provider Internet Initiative Japan Inc. for 10-20 billion yen ($85-169 million), the Nihon Keizai Shimbun business daily said on Thursday.IIJ declined to comment.
An IIJ affiliate, Crosswave Communications Inc. filed for protection from creditors in Japan with total group debts of 68.4 billion yen.
