Net Neutrality Protests Nationwide at Verizon Stores Today

Consumers angry at the FCC's looming attack on net neutrality will be protesting today at Verizon retail locations around the country. If you're interested in participating, consumer groups have erected this website where you can enter your zip code and find the closest Verizon store protest location. You can also find details here about protests that will also be held at the annual FCC Chairman's dinner. The FCC is scheduled to vote December 14 to kill the rules. Should efforts to derail that vote fail, the FCC faces an extremely tough court fight once the repeal hits the federal register in January.

representative democracy is dead

we've been gerrymandered into electing a majority that represents a minority,
who have then undermined the fourth estate by dismissing facts as "fake news".

the battle is already over - save your efforts till after the next election cycle,
when we'll have to rebuild everything these conservatives are dismantling.
even the lie of "trickle down economics" is back - so it's pointless to fight now,
while corporate dollars hold more power over our representatives than votes,
and even federal and state court judges are being systematically coopted.

i'm not saying to give up - just saying - it's best to wait to fight another day.
also, protesting at verizon stores instead of representative offices of those
who have not yet voiced full throated support of nn+t2, is again pointless.
you need to protest where the regulators work, not those in need of regulation.

scroll to the bottom "Where do your members of Congress stand? Find out"

you'll be shocked how many of your near state people do NOT defend nn+t2.
we all need to wake up - the 60's is over man... it's no longer about sit ins,
and blocking traffic, it's all about dollars, so instead of wasting time today
standing outside in the cold by a verizon store, it's better you work some
overtime tonight, then donate the procedes to the election of a local representative
that firmly backs your views and is not so easily corrupted by corp special interests.
if you're not sure who, just donate to the women and other minority candidates

I guess I'll have to miss it, as I have to go to work and all. Guess they were busy Saturday.

Smart

Do it on a Wednesday. Because everyone has a day off. Also in front of Verizon stores because it makes just as much sense.

Was considering going but decided not to

I don't think this will do much, pushing for municipal broadband and more competition in your area has more of an impact than protesting at a verizon store. Not to mention how freakin cold it is outside today!!!
