| They are really accelerating their content. I was just finishing up Lost (you really need to see it together) and noticed this Orange is the new black which is the same wacky director as weeds. So they are already grabbing talent from the payTV channels. If you think about it ST maybe has 2 good shows HBO 4-5. For $17 a month for HBO it's an absolute RIP compared to Netflix at half the price. They are even starting to get some good movies again. If you must see GOT it's way cheaper to buy it or pirate it. I've never seen it because the buy is expensive and I figure in a couple of years it will be cheaper and free and then I can enjoy it. I dont care if I see a show 5 years later. Even so it's only $28 to buy the season...Not that bad actually....Content is in the cloud now.
Amazon is getting into the game too... Inside the Dome is Lostish and much lamer but it's a good start. They have a few good shows. Their Roku interface blows chunks tho, Netflix is marginally better. Xbox better on both. | |

GOT is really good. Had to read the books which are so much better than the show. The show's well done, but the books are so much deeper. House of Cards is excellent and Arrested Development.. is just comedy genius. | |

No, but I do think that the creator of a show does WRITE some dialogue. | |

Who is to blame for the movie selection on Netflix?
Content providers or Netflix? Providers want lots of money, Netflix wants to pay as little as possible.
How high should Netflix raise it's rates to get the content you want, then would you use Netflix?
I'd be willing to go 15 bucks a month, but not much more.
I doubt that there are many who would be willing to ggo that high.

| An excellent value for what it is... ... I'm current on hold with NF as we kinda striped through a lot of the series we wanted to see and got a year promo from ComCast which ends soon.
then we'll probably drop back to Netflix, huluplus and Amazon prime My son just got a cheap follow-up to his college prime acct. this one has video so we are going thru their best effort for now (interface is awkward to search on TV ok a on computer, big advantage Netflix) still a couple original hits doesn't fill a network or even a single channel. | |
