Netflix Now Has 50 Million Global Users Tuesday Jul 22 2014 08:54 EDT Tipped by davidc502 Netflix's latest earnings report (pdf) indicates the company ended last quarter with 50.05 million global subscribers, up from 37.56 million in the second quarter of 2013. The company added 570,000 subscribers in the U.S. alone last quarter, bringing their subscriber total in the States to 36.24 million. Netflix imposed a price hike on streaming users back in April, but that didn't seem to dent subscriber growth in the slightest (though existing customers rates were grandfathered for a year or so). That of course raises the question: just how far can Netflix raise their prices before they destroy the value proposition? |

Canceling DirecTV and saving a THOUSAND dollars a year? - Priceless.
Netflix is one of my prime sources of entertainment. Who cares if you are living 2 years behind on most TV series, Its not like we go to work and talk to everyone about "who shot JR" last night anymore.

Go Netflix!Keep on growing Netflix! As long as you continue to add new and original content that is commercial-free, I'll continue to subscribe.
I never have any problems streaming in SuperHD, and this is a testimonial to TDS which has a free (no gain) PEERING agreement with Netflix.
