New England's population growth gap widens

The latest Census Bureau data shows the gap between New England's population growth and the rest of the nation's widened over the past year.

The U-S as a whole added people at a rate five times faster than the six-state region.

New England's population growth has long trailed the nation's as more people head to the Southwest and other regions offering sunnier climates and lower living costs.
