Mixed feelings, Bought the router to eliminate having a router and modem on my desk and reduce a walwart on my outlet strip. The unit works perfectly until I VPN into my work. The VPN logs in successfully but I loose all tcpip services, no browser, cannot access lan drives or email. I had an RP614 and that unit had 0 issues. I called Netgear tonight very helpful I explained the problem, I was told to use port fowarding on 2 ports (500 and 1723). Still the vpn does not work after logging in. My lan at work is all tcpip based servers, The VPN service is ATT. I have the latest firmware and I even went back a version, Like I said the RP614 was flawless. So if you do not have to VPN it is a great unit, until Netgear come out with a better firmware release I would hold off on buying the unit. |
