New Product: 802.11a+b Wireless Access Point (WAB102)
(old news - 01:26PM Friday Jan 17 2003)

Another product that was announced recently which we failed to report is the 802.11a+b Wireless Access Point (WAB102).

This product complements Netgear's client side 802.11a+b product (WAB501) which was the first dual band 802.11a+b client card in the market.

On the other hand Netgear is busy developing its own 802.11g solutions and there are rumors that it will be using Intersil's Prism GT chipset.

FR114P owners with VOM

My FR114P smoked yesterday. It was plugged in last July and has never been shut off since. The transformer states 12VDC but I'm measuring 17VDC. I've ordered another one from Netgear using the advance exchange option. I'm not sure if the power supply will be sent with the replacement. If anybody has this router and a VOM and has a couple of minutes to measure the output of the power supply I'd be very grateful.
