wow, i hope the statute of limitations isn't long, i only graduated from high school 7 yrs ago...
no, but seriously, what's the big deal... think back to when you were that young or think about your kids, would you rather them look at porn, or go out and do the real thing...

| Only in Minnesota! God Damn it only in Minnesota would we get all hissy and pissy about it. Geez it's not the end of the world, the kid could of done the samething with a laptop or wireless PDA.
I point blame at the school for leaving a wireless network open to anyone and not properly installing some kind of nanny software on top of it.
I don't see what the big deal is and sadly I'm more and more hating this news station I watched it alot but now thye seem to spin everything for the worse. For example on last night they say iraqi soliders "slaughted" innocent people in a car that didn't stop.
On another channel they said the car didn't stop and that soliders have the right to fire if they feel threatened.
Sorry to go off topic it's just annoying is all that it seems like Minnesota is looked upon as a liberal state where if you utter the word boob people are going to start yelling at you.
Plain in simple the network should of been more secure and had a WEP key and net filter installed to prevent this from happening. Oh and the kid should do it outside of school. -- "Sure there have been injuries and deaths in boxing - but none of them serious."- Alan Minter, Boxer"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada."- Britney Spears, Pop Singer

Liberals are more likely to encourage "real world experience" rather than the poor imitation.
Minnesota was a blue state in '04, but a better analysis shows it's a mostly purple state with some pockets of heavy blue. See »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2004···ties.png
Interesting to note that with people about as evenly divided as you can get (red vs. blue), nothing gets done.
In real life, it's not how many express their opinions, it's who shouts the loudest.

| From the last paragraph of the article... Sony, the maker of the PSP, told us that parents should be responsible for monitoring the content their children are viewing. But David Walsh of the National Institute on Media and the Family, says game makers have a responsibility too. They should let parents know that their product could give a kid easy access to pornography.

| Whos is David Walsh? I have two questions:
1) What organization is David Walsh associated with?
2) Why in the heck are they letting kids bring portable game systems to school anyway? What useful purpose can it serve? If the kids have so much free time at school just send them home, the schools don't need to become nannies too.
I also have to wonder about the "journalist" who wrote the article. Besides mentioning that David Walsh is with the National Institute on Media and the Family about five times there was some very poor grammar in the article as well. Is this what the Minnesota school system is producing?

| what a bunch of BS A) first of all you can't even view any porn movies on PSP unless they are in MPEG-4 fomat. Porn websites don't offer any porn movies in that format so you can't view it. You'd have to download it to your PSP then to your computer to you would have to had downloaded some sort of converting software to convert into a format PSP would regogize then load the porn back to your PSP. No way that happens on 'accident"
B) Bringing porn to school is a felony? Oh well I can tell you I was bringing porn to school in the mid 80's LONG before there were Ipods or PSPs. There were these things call "magazines". They think this is NEW?

i dont know about you, i took my DS to school and played during my lunch and on the way/back from home. and dont get me started on kids having free time at school because they dont. granted they spend alot of time doing nothing only because teachers are trying not to get their heads riped off by some kids mother and father because their kid is getting a low grade in the class. what useful purpose? sure if you can tell me how spending half the school money on the football field helps the US in building good people... right, and those pep rallys for sports teams. last time i checked it's not the gamers going out on prom night and getting drunk and getting into car wrecks... yeah im really off track (soden feels he might get flamed) ^_^

Jeez, bringing porn to school isa fuckin FELONY?
K, Rush Limbaugh can steal and abuse prescription drugs AND get on live radio without as much as a slap on the wrist and "awaiting trial"...if he was a blackman, he'd be in prison hopin' to hold on to the soap for dear life and laughin his ass of (lmao'ing) the appeal process which, due to melanin reacts to cases differently.
but back to my point, porn as a felony...lol bring alcohol to the school, I doubt theres gonna be this huge of an out roar. Know why? Cause a majority of the parents take shots every nite to go to sleep. ha!
Its hilarious how laws that are supposed to protect the community get so overblown that the point of the law is no longer existant. Theres a HELLUVA LOT MORE PROBLEMS that are going on in schools then kids accesing porn.
Go to any schools IT Department and ask them how many attempts are made to visist porn sites using school computers...singleing out one child an hitting him/her with a felony is uncalled for and the reason I wrote this book...holla!
