| |  Starting out with 802.11b need help setting up!!!
 but I am wanting to connect me, my grandparents(live across the street) a friend who lives less than a mile down the road, and another friend who lives around 3-5 miles. I have been searching around reading about the best everything, and reading reviews and watching ebay. I have not came up with an exact plan on how I am going to do this but my main focus is to get it out to my friend who lives around 3-5 miles away. I have checked a topo map, and found out that I am at a higher elevation than he is and there is nothing too high in between us that would stop the signal. A main point is that I live in a rural area with quite a few trees, and plan to stick a 12dbi antenna on top of my dad's ham radio antenna (70ft) using low loss cable (Andrew Heliax Superflex or LMR-400) I have plenty of wire, but I need help coming up with a plan, and need to know approximately how much this will cost. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
