Opera Opens Up Access To Their Max Wireless Data Compression Wednesday Feb 19 2014 08:15 EDT Opera says the company is moving its Opera Max data compression software out of beta and into general public availability. Initially only available via the Google Play Store beta program, the company says anybody can now download the program for Android in the Google Play store. Opera promises bandwidth savings of up to 50% when using the app for mobile browsing, allowing users on tight usage caps to more carefully monitor their mobile bandwidth allotments. Users have the option to toggle the compression when needed (since it will pixelate video), though note you'll have to pay a $1 monthly fee for the honor of using Opera Max. |

Re: Good for overseas marketsIn case you haven't noticed, AT&T is pushing everyone towards the 10GB plan. All the other carriers have fairly large plans as well. | |
