PA Committee to hold hearing on VoIP

Senate Communications & Technology Committee Chairman Sen. Jake Corman (R-34) and committee Vice Chairman Sen. John Rafferty (R-44) announced that the committee will be holding a public hearing on Wednesday, September 15, 2004.

Corman and Rafferty have scheduled a public hearing to be held at the Montgomery County Community College – West Campus in Pottstown for Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 10:00 AM.


Corman and Rafferty said the committee hearing will focus on Voice Over the Internet Protocol, or VoIP technology.

We're happy Broadvox accepted the invitation.
Thanks goes out to JGWilliams for assisting in this regard.

Vonage testified before the committee last year and we wanted to allow for other companies to have some PR for their products at this hearing.

You will also see that we will hear from Covad, CallVantage, Pulver.com, and from the industry group, VON Coalition.

The hearing will be available on the website, www.jakecorman.com in the coming week via windows media stream.

Oh wow ... how progressive is that the meeting being on windows media stream. Good Job. I work in the Philly area and would have loved to sit in this meeting as a Pennsylvania consumer but I can't take the time off. Good that I be able to see what happens. Thanks.
