Fanboys ignite: a second research firm has predicted that the Sony Playstation 3 will dominate this generation of game consoles, much like it did the last. The report predicts Sony will sell 75 million consoles by 2010, with Microsoft selling 40 million Xbox 360s and Nintendo selling 31 million Wiis. According to furiously fanboy flamed NextGen Wars, the Xbox 360 has sold 9.44 million units, the Wii has moved 2.2 million and Sony has sold 854,627 PS3s; the latter two consoles obviously later to market and still facing some supply crunch. Back in August, the Yankee Group similarly predicted Sony would retain its console crown.
