But consider, the amount of attacks on our Government facilities appear to be from certain IP address blocks (called ISPs or countries by the media for those who do not know otherwise). While it has been a year or two since I looked at an attack log here, I am told that most of the attacks are from certain areas.
So on the surface it makes sense just to ban the whole block and maybe the service will try to clean up their act. On the second look, all those people will do is shift to another area and continue whatever they are doing. So I get a few days of faster service until they move to another set zombies. -- I am not lost, I find myself every time.

| | Pfffft. Like it matters. It does not matter who votes, or if they vote for Bush or Kerry. Theyre the same big business party and things are not going to be much different with either or at the helm. So I am not too worried about overseas voters. Were damned if we do and damned if we dont.
What I am worried about is the continued ignorance of our government that punishes the many innocent for the actions of the few. To make it worse, these "preventative measures" dont even affect most of the naer do wells. They affect law abiding citizens. Its like gun control. You make it difficult for John Q. Public to own a firearm, and such laws barely make a dent in the criminal arsenal. This is yet another great example of the governments paranoia and stupidity.

Could it be possible he wants to stop the "liberal ex-patriates" from voting for Kerry? The reason I say ex-patriates are liberal is because most liberals like to think of all countries as equal. Conservatives never leave the USA, just because America is #1 and everyone else sucks. Of course this doesn't hold true for everyone, but I think it's fair.

keith2468Premium,MVM join:2001-02-03 Winnipeg, MB 1 edit | This Should Help Bush This should help Bush, since Americans overseas are more likely to vote Democrat these days.
So shutting out Americans overseas will work to Bush's advantage.
That said, I see shutting out foreign IPs from some .gov sites as perfectly legitimate.
