(Sports Network) - Josh Davis scored a career-high 19 points in his first start as a 76er to lead Philadelphia over the Boston Celtics, 110-97, on Wednesday at the Wachovia Center.

Allen Iverson netted a game-high 28 points and handed out 10 assists in his return to the lineup for the Sixers, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Iverson missed his team's 93-83 loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday because of bruised elbow suffered towards the end of the Sixers loss to the San Antonio Spurs last Thursday.

Forward Kenny Thomas scored on two points off the bench after Davis took his spot in the starting lineup. The Sixers outshot the Celtics, 50 percent to 44 percent, and forced 17 turnovers. Philadelphia improved to 3-0 this season when they score 100 points or more.

Philadelphia is off until Friday when it hosts the Washington Wizards. Last season, the teams split four contests.
