I had the "triple Bill" plan for a few months then the "duplicate account" plan. The "Bill someone else Plan" too.
After all was said and done I had about 10 months free and a few months heavily discounted.
I now have the "Only 1 email out of 3 works" Plan.
You can't make this up. I do give VZ a pat on the back, they constantly call me to see if its working. Which it is not.Dec 18th was the last email my wife had properly routed.

I'm on a first name basis with a few I still pay for Fios TV now they got that part of the bill fixed, so it seems.

| Verizon has billing problems? Who knew? I have had a phantom set top box on my account for over a year. Apparently there is no one at Verizon who knows how to delete it. Note to Verizon, on my keyboard the key that says delete is the big one towards the top right hand part of the keyboard! | |

I had the same issue for about 2 months after I upgraded 1 HD-DVR to a Multi-Room DVR, all they did was change the software on the box, when they added the Multi-Room DVR to the account they failed to remove the HD-DVR and started billing me for 2 DVR's and the Multi-Room DVR (I only have 1 HD-DVR and the Multi-Room HD-DVR) until I finally got them to rebuild the account. | |

| Miss the old days Verizon misses the old days when they could charge upwards of $100+ for unlimited calling per phone line and $50 more for 768/128kbit dsl (at the dawn of Bell Atlantic's conversion to Verizon). Having to invest $$ BILLIONS $$ on FTTP is quite nerve racking.. having to do Video, Voice & Internet for about $150 (after you add in all the SiR-Charges, taxes, & fees). Add to that getting killed in the POTS market to Vonage VOIP & Cable VOIP. Wireless & Business Grade ISDN were bringing in the BIG BUCKS, who cared about residential broadband & video??
The reality is.. not even AT&T is living up to the high expectations many had given the footprint they eventually ended up with in the last mile. Cable companies are trying to get away with murder since there is monopoly & duopoly pricing in the vast majority of cable & internet markets. Poor service and lack of will to upgrade last mile systems are truly disappointing. It's now the cable companies' whom are getting lazy and complacent because AT&T lets them keep their customers with a petty Uverse DSL worthy of 1991 Geo Prism (can't beat the underpowered car analogies). Might as well put a big sign on the company: WE DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY, REALLY WE DON'T!
Now that we see the economy going south for the winter, don't start buying stocks of docsis cmts companies or at&t equipment vendors.. as they will not upgrade wisely for the future, making these companies more likely to go out of business than fuel a broadband war between Cable & Telcos. | |
