Porn Industry Aims To Shame, Sue P2P Traders
Studio suggests taking your fetish public 'not worth the risk...'
Apparently unaware that the RIAA's "sue 'em all" campaign didn't work -- the porn industry is now filing random lawsuits against P2P users
who trade copyrighted pornography. Last week Larry Flynt Publications sued 635 BitTorrent users in a court in Texas, and porn studio Pink Visual is trying to rally multiple studios to do likewise. In an interesting twist -- Pink Visual is adding the extra incentive of shame in the hopes that deters copyrighted porn traders. "When it comes to private sexual fantasies and fetishes, going public is probably not worth the risk that these torrent and peer-to-peer users are taking," says the studio.
