Why is this a separate SSID, to pollute the network scan list?

AT&T offers a Premier plan that apparently gets you access to partner and roaming hotspots. It would seem these are the 3000 that Qwest, as well as AT&T dsl customers, dont have access to for free.

| Sites One of places that have free wi-fi from AT&T happened to be McDonald's.
If in doubt of where are the free wi-fi sites, you can find out here. -- Yo te digo, el mundo esta jodido

| Re: Sites I just checked their website and it says McDonald's, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble are free. You have to have a qualifying plan to get it which starts at the Basic Plan. If you don't have DSL at home, then yes there is a charge. -- Yo te digo, el mundo esta jodido | |

| Identity Crisis? So at this point you can get a Landline through Qwest, your TV through Qwest which is through DirecTV, Broadband through Qwest (or a 3rd party provider), Cell phone through Qwest which is through Verizon Wireless, and free Wifi through Qwest which is through at&t effectively.
What else can Qwest still do that they won't do themselves before going out of business?

That doesn't look good for Qwest, not that they care.
