Qwest reseller migration from Sprint to Verizon moves forward...

Qwest announced last May they'd be dumping Sprint and reselling Verizon Wireless because they weren't happy with sales. Of course part of that might have been that the telco was marking regular Sprint service up by $5, and imposing a 5GB monthly cap where none existed previously (though Sprint now also caps users). Qwest has since forged a new reseller agreement with Verizon, and began selling Verizon Wireless voice and EVDO data services to new customers in late July. This week the telco announced that existing customers can now port their Sprint service to Verizon Wireless:
This week Qwest began contacting Qwest Wireless customers directly with specific Verizon Wireless device and calling plan recommendations. Qwest Wireless customers who sign up for Verizon Wireless service through Qwest will be eligible for exclusive offers from Verizon Wireless. For a limited time, Qwest will waive the contract termination fees for existing Qwest Wireless customers who switch to Verizon Wireless service sold through Qwest.
It looks like things aren't quite fully integrated yet, with Qwest saying that true, unified bundled billing will appear "this fall." The company is also offering a migration FAQ for impacted customers.
