Longer hold times

billing is only open from 8-5 est and it takes 20 mins on average to get someone....i hope this improves.

Re: Longer hold times

Yeah, hold times should improve because they can hire a lot more Philipinos at $1 an hour than they can $9 an hour Pennsylvanians.

Hope you don't mind someone from a foreign country having access to your credit card numbers and email passwords.

RCN Corp. is laying off 291 customer service workers

I live in the area where the layoff's are occurring. The Wilkes Barre/ Scranton area is in bad shape as it is when
it comes to the unemployed.

This is just another example of a large corporation laying off workers , so they can "out source" somewhere else to promote
cheaper wages.

The outsourcing of RCN jobs will eventually go to India.

Basically, this is the same thing that Circuit City has done, fire higher wage employees and rehire cheaper labor.

The United States is going down the tubes, fast and the American people don't even realize it.

Stop the WalMartzation of America !!!!!

RCN Corp. will lay off about 300 employees

Re: RCN Corp. is laying off 291 customer service workers

I worked there for over a year and left last year about this time when the writing was already on the wall. Everyone knew this was coming. I feel sorry for my old co-workers but no one can say that this is a surprise. Peter Aquino, the CEO, has always been about selling off the company or making it look good to a potential buyer and not about running a profitable successful company.
