Radio Shack Wireless Service Launching September 5
Radio Shack No Contract Wireless Service Looms
by Karl Bode Thursday 23-Aug-2012 tags: competition · wireless · alternatives · bandwidth · wireless · cellular
Earlier this month leaked information indicated that Cricket and Radio Shack are planning to launch a new wireless MVNO creatively named "Radio Shack No Contract Wireless." Now Engadget has obtained internal documentation pointing to a release date of September 5 for the new service. Earlier rumblings had suggested that the service will largely mirror existing Cricket pricing via a no-contract HTC One smartphone, with more than just a little emphasis placed on promoting Cricket's Muve Music service. Cricket owner Leap wireless has been bleeding customers rather badly, and is rumored to be shopping itself around for a sale.

they've already lost.

Man, these CDMA operators LOVE to whore out their overtaxed networks to any MVNO. There are MUCH better MVNOs to go with besides Radio Shack...and the Cricket network? What a joke.

name and define

Feel free to name those "much better" MVNOs and define what makes each of them better.

Straight Talk on AT&T is one of the best options going.

PagePlus a Verizon MVNO

IMO much better than Straight Talk. They will provision most CDMA phones if you are able to update and flash a new PRL on them.

Overtaxed network? Only one that has issues is Sprint. Verizon there are no issues at least that I know of.

Maybe you should be talking to ATT about being overtaxed and underfunded network. Hell they even admitted their network could not even handle the new facetime over their network, how sad is that?

Instead of making billions upon billions of dollars, send that money to your network and start providing real service
