The Associated Press SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - An SBC Communications Inc. policy that prevents its customers from switching their local phone service while keeping their SBC high-speed Internet connection has been ruled unlawful by a state regulatory judge.
The ruling stemmed from a complaint made Telscape Communications Inc., which claimed SBC would not process requests to switch its customers to Telscape if they subscribed to SBC's digital subscriber line service to access the Internet.
