Skype Concedes Inability to Meet Expectations
eBay boots CEO and tries to recoup losses
Skype has been steadily growing in its provision of Internet-based phone services but that growth hasn’t been nearly up to par with what the company originally believed would happen. This is causing problems for eBay which anticipated immediate revenue boosts after acquiring Skype in 2005. Instead of that boost, eBay is going to be writing off over $1 billion in one-time charges for the third quarter. Basically, eBay is realizing that it paid way too much for Skype and now needs to try and mitigate losses. This has prompted the company to begin working on a more detailed plan for Skype development. It’s also led to the resignation of Niklas Zennstrom, co-founder of Skype and CEO up until this time. An interim CEO has taken over to assist with the transition to a more long-term and organized approach to Skype development.

eBay = Garbage

eBay is garbage period, there against guns, customer service sucks cause you have to go through e-mail or the chat thingy, AND why in hell do i have to sign up for paypal to use a credit card? I don't need them to freeze my account either. COMPLETE GARBAGE.
