Sprint's Son on U.S. Broadband: 'How Can You Live Like This?'
SoftBank boss and Sprint Chairman Masayoshi Son continues to make his case for a Sprint acquisition of T-Mobile, even if regulators have shown resistance to the idea, and most T-Mobile customers find the idea repulsive. "They don't want to talk to us," Son told attendees of the ReCode Conference this week in California, despite having met with regulators many times over the last few months. Son continues to promise a combined T-Mobile and Sprint would help shake up uncompetitive wireless and wired (via a fixed wireless) broadband markets. "At my home in Silicon Valley I say, oh my god," Son told attendees. "How can America live like this?"

Softbank/Sprint...Seize the Moment

If Mr Son sees a market not serving the marketplace in broadband, as reported here, then step up and start building.

Want to get the T-Mo buyout approved? Announce a FTTH buildout. AFAIK there is no rule that Softbank/Sprint cannot start running Fiber to help change the lack of competitive landscape in Wired broadband

How can America live like this? Because Telecom Companies have not been replacing copper connections with Fiber connections (with the exception of some FiOS). Want to change that Mr Son? I doubt there will be too many complaints. Otherwise, you are simply another Telecom Co representative that talks a lot, and does nothing
