Two-way satellite Internet provider StarBand unveiled a "Starter" plan for residential customers with a $39.99 monthly service fee covering 12 months.
The StarBand Starter plan provides Internet service with fewer plan features than StarBand's standard residential service. It offers download speeds up to 250 kilobits per second - typically more than five times faster than most dial-up providers - and a Web-based e-mail account.
Additional service plans are available for residential and small office customers with faster speeds and more robust features, the company said.

Great to see even a cheaper less robust satellite solution for the consumers, when it will be available in Canada is any ones guess... This is a great alternative to the DW4000, DW6000 platform from Hughes.
