TDS Telecom Buys Baja Broadband
In Deal Worth $267.5 Million
TDS Telecom (see our user reviews) has announced that the company will be acquiring Baja Broadband (see our user reviews) in a deal worth $267.5 million. According to a TDS announcement, Baja generated annual revenues of $82.4 million in 2012, has approximately 285 employees, and focuses on residential and commercial broadband services in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. "We plan to build on Baja’s solid customer base and upgraded network to increase penetration and revenues with new services and products and outstanding customer experiences," promises TDS.

Looks like you are screwed. For 3 years my dslam has been overscribed and tds does nothing but sell more. I pay for 5 meg speed and get point 5

I read the user reviews, looks like TDS is a lot better than Baja, but they're only reliable on the higher speed plans.

Had Baja in Estes Park, CO

Really good service though a little on slow side compared with today's cable offerings. That being said, 1st class as far as support and questions. I was a happy customer. Interesting though that we have a dslr provider buying a cable op.
