We wish to inform our valued customers that TM Net will be performing a service upgrading exercise on its e-mail servers, which include the smtp.tm.net.my, pop.tm.net.my & webmail.tm.net.my from 6.00 p.m. on Friday, 29th December 2006 until 6.30 a.m. on Saturday, 30th December 2006. As a result, some TM Net subscribers may experience intermittent access to their e-mails, particularly to the pop3 and webmail services. The service upgrading exercise is part of TM Nets continuous effort to enhance its e-mail security and to prevent the spread of viruses and spam mails.
Upon completion of this exercise, TM Net will have enhanced security features in its smtp server, which will require users to authenticate before sending e-mails. This new feature will be activated on 4th January 2007. The guidelines to enable the smtp authentication is available at »
