T-Mobile Sees Significant New Subscriber Surge T-Mobile's earnings posted this morning suggest that the carrier's new "uncarrier" marketing strategy is paying some dividends, with the company seeing the biggest subscriber gains they've posted in four years. According to the earnings report, T-Mobile gained 1.1 million customers on the quarter, including 685,000 highly-valued postpaid subscribers. While the company posted revenue of $6.23 billion, it saw a loss of $16 million due to their latest efforts. "By fixing the things that drive them mad, like contracts and upgrades, and freeing them from the two-year sentences imposed on them by our competitors, they are choosing the new T-Mobile in unprecedented numbers," T-Mobile CEO John Legere said in a statement.
