As we
noted last week, T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom is planning to spend big to help bolster T-Mobile's position here in the States. Now according to the UK's
Telegraph, that spending spree could include a possible acquisition of Sprint. According to the paper, Deutsche Telekom has called in banking advisers to advise them on a possible bid for Sprint, and an announcement on the deal could come in as little as two weeks. The rumor has bubbled up several times over the years, but network compatibilities (Sprint operates a Mobile WiMax and EVDO/CMDA network while T-Mobile currently offers HSDPA) always made the deal seem less than likely.
