| | Still cheaper on the regular plan for me If this were your home phone option, then I could see switching to it but I have two G1s with MyFavs 700 family and data plans (only the $25/month plan.) As it stands now, I pay less than 2 $84.99 plans would be though the MyFavs do get a workout (about 2500 minutes/month.) | |

Moreover how is it supposed to be such an uhh-ohh "good" plan for &85/mo when it's actually not even unlimited at all (let alone its barely existing 3G network, utilizing the never-heard frequency of 1700Mhz with no retail device support whatsoever)?

| | Could be cool Hmm? Could be cool, maybe. Don't use cell that much, but T-Mobile has been the best network for me in my locality. I can actually use it inside my house. Wife won't let me dump landline!

| Re: I Guess I Qualify If they want people get on the plan they need to offer it to FlexPlay Customers as well. Requiring a customer to be with them for 22months and on a contract is not a good thing. people nowadays do not want contracts. instead want a month to month service without all the bullshit.
if TM can't provide that then they need to let someone else do it for them.
Com'on T-M offer the plan to EVERYONE! And get rid of the extra fee if you want data and texting!

First few plans have 0 month commitments. granted it's still a rumor, but i doubt the would restrict it to just postpaid customers. Especially since they have been advertising flexpay all the time.

| | None I can see T-Mobile hesitant to offer this to new customers.
Once they were to do this, they'll cheapen the brand and they couldn't in good faith go back to regular pricing.
A lot of people (mostly ATT/VZW employees) knock T-Mobile all the time on boards like this, but they are a big national/international player with service to over 252 million POPS nationwide. They cover a lot of ground even though they came to the game later than the 850 MHz incumbents.
It must be very hard for them in their #4 position to balance keeping profitable while remaining competitive in this terrible economy. You got those who want more and more but want to pay less and less. You can't please everyone.

| Re: Meh said by dvd536:10GB is *NOT* unlimited. i wish these providers would quit using that word when they aren't really unlimited. Technically, TMO's unlimited really has no limit on data, it simply caps the speed. No overages. That makes it about 10x better than Sprint, ATT, and VZW. -- "What makes us omniscient? | | Never leaving Sprint I got on the SERO $30 plan when it was available. I will NEVER leave sprint.
Nothing beats: - 500 anytime minutes with nights @ 7pm and weekends free - Unlimited Text - Unlimited PIX - Unlimited Data (yea 5GB cap, never seen anyone canceled yet) - $4 Equipment Service and Repair (Received two free upgrades already just due to phones dying over time) - Never have billing problems (On Autopay)
NO ONE has a plan like that right now. Most people pay more just for data without any voice minutes.
These are the kind of plans the carriers need to offer if they want to get and keep customers. Like I said, I will never leave Sprint.
|
| | Verizon needs to jump on the $50 bandwagon! When will Verizon begin to sell unlimited calling for $50 a month? There are already 2 carriers which have or will soon have a $50 unlimited calling plan!
It's well past time to jump on the $99-50 discount band wagon!

| | Can you ever be happy? Geezus.. Please people..
T-Mobile is @ least trying to give customers something. To all you people "offer it to new customers" crying and stuff.Quit yer bitching.
Even when a company tries to do something good for customers (new or existing) somebody is going to complain
|
BiggA join:2005-11-23 EARTH | "unlimited" You can complain about "unlimited" data that's not unlimited, but nor are minutes on most carriers. Most "unlimited" plans are actually 5,000 minutes, and just like data, no reasonable user would ever get CLOSE to that.
