State-owned telecommunications company PT Telkom said it aims to increase the number of subscribers to its fixed wireless telephone service by three million to 7.1 million by the end of this year. PT Telkom CEO Nyoman GW said currently the service, called "Flexi," has 4.1 million subscribers and with the addition of three million subscribers, the CDMA-based Flexi will become the main player in the country's telecommunication industry. Nyoman said he is optimistic the target would be achieved as Flexi has expanded and will continue to expand its coverage. Full article
