| |  CyberCrime and Uncapping?
Somebody uncaps their cable modem and their VCR is confiscated!; not even the computer to which the cable modem was hooked up to was taken! (also some CD-ROMs and SmartCard readers were also taken, I believe none of these were illegal and had nothing to do with uncapping)
This is basically an article about FBI and "cybercrime". I wanted to know if anybody knows whether the FBI even knows what the hell a cable modem or harddrive is? I felt like i needed to talk about this here when I read this article at »www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2002N···7460.htm
Also I believe, for many people, cable companies have become monoplies! Wherever you go only one cable company w/ merely ANY competion charges you 40 dollars for a 1.5 megabit down connection! hmm fishy? Isn't this known as a "pool" where an agreement among the companies is made to only sell in one region of country and not to compete with each other. ?? wondering if theres anybody who knows about this junk? |
