| ConnectedCO already a disaster Just went to their site. They measure user speed in megabytes per second, which means that people will probably get confused and rank their DSL connections too highly.
Even more fishy: forms end up submitted ot the Connected North Carolina website. This might be an accident, however it also might be a nice way to pad historically low broadband speeds in NC outside of Wilson.
To add insult to injury, their speedtest is the only major one I know of that can't max out my 22/5 pipe. It stops at around 19 Mbps down and 3.9 Mbps up...and that's during PowerBoost! Latency is totally out of whack as well, registering over 100ms. The speed test and website are located at Aspen Communications, which isn't even in Colorado and doesn't have a good bandwidth mix overall...

| | | RE: Mobilize: The Dawn of Location-Aware Mobile Ads I resent the fact that they think they can just start pushing ads willy-nilly at me, and I get the thrill of paying for the data and/or airtime. If I was compensated for the time I put into looking at them, free minutes, data, etc, I may not mind so much. It works that way for web-pages on the net. The fact that they are ad sponsored keeps the content free to look at.
I willl stick with my HTC phone with the custom OS installed. There is nothing left even remotely related to ATT anymore. I'm sure if this became reality, someone would figure out how to block it.

| ConnectedCO Speedtest with Qwest Download Speed: 3852 kbps (481.5 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 678 kbps (84.8 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 196 ms Thu Sep 10 18:22:46 2009
Guess they're underestimating Qwest's speeds as well; the Qwest line generally runs at ~4.1 Mbps (it's a 5 meg line) and about 700 kbps up (out of 896).

| | Apple = Scientology Q.E.D. Apple = Scientology
Evidence: a) S. Jobs = R. Hubbard
Jobs' favorite book is Battlefied Earth? Hmmm... Correlation?
b) Brainless accolites? On both sides of the equation c) Brainless RICH accolites? see b) d) Big-Brotherish behaviour? both e) Religion status? Apple is not YET officially a religion, but
Well, actually, Steve Jobs is the head of the religion called Apple. Apple converts don't care about anything except the next release of Mac OS or iPhone OS or the newest iPod or iTouch. And, NEVER, EVER, suggest to an Apple convert Apple can get a virus. Scientologists never get sick.
f) Expensive? Oh yeah... both of'em!
Scientology leaves you with nothing but psychology bills and Apple leaves you with lots of hardware that is now useless because of the new releases. Of course, Scientology doesn't care if you use AT&T.
g) I-phone = E-meter h) Attack the Attacker? Sure.... both of 'em!
I'm sure Apple fans will attack me before Tom Cruise fans. And, here....we....go!
