|  | | | Re: FreedomPoP my guess is there is so much $$$$ in compiling profile data on you and then selling targeted advertising a la google that they think they can make it work. check out ghostery and find out that there are over 400-500 different companies in the tracking business - that tells you that there's a ton of easy money being made. As with all the "free" google products like gmail, google docs, etc the "price" is eventually having anyone in the world able to find out almost anything + everything about you, your interests, your health problems, your political leanings, who your friends are(facebook, twitter) etc etc.
have to love their spiel though: "The internet is a right!, Not a privilege!"
that line of thinking is popular with a large sector of the population these days. | |
