Vonage/DSL

This is a good thing-now I'm wondering how long it will take Verizon, AT&T and the other patent trolls to sue Vonage for this.

Seriously though, it allows them to offer a one stop telephone experience-especially if they are allowed to offer unbundled DSL.

I'm sure that their prices will be competitive.

Shure

I remember awhile back Shure said they were going to say something to the FCC about the block that is being sold.

Re: Shure

Most of Shure's wireless microphone products in the TV bands are being used illegally, by those who don't possess the proper license to use them legally. They know full-well this is the case, and want to keep the "white space" all to themselves. They've got the gall to adopt this "holier than thou" attitude of arguing against legal unlicensed devics in this band, so that their illegal unlicensed devices aren't disadvantaged. Geesh.

I'm always amazed the press never picks up on this angle, and just blandy and unquestionally reports what the wireless microphone proponents tell them.

EA To Use Controversial Internet-Required DRM On New Games

I'll say it flat out. EA, I pirate your games. I used to buy them, but your jacked up copy protection just caused too many headaches. So instead of giving you $50-$60 per title just to "review" your latest failed attempt at piracy prevention, I just pirate it. The pirated copies run great. (at least as far as the protection goes, your coding could still use some work)
