| Mobile broadband dongles fail on OS X Snow Leopard While it's not shocking that a new OS, especially one that got a boatload of under the hood rewrites would "break" something the article is very sensational; going from XP to Vista also broke a TON of my stuff (including my USB dongle). In this case for some of the dongles, updates were already available. For others, like T-Mobile, T-Mobile says on that same support page that they are working on updates and will post them as soon as they are available. Meanwhile those sticks are no longer offered by T-Mobile and were likely released BEFORE Snow Leopard.
And the 3 page PDF they called scary and complicated amounts to clicking and dragging a whopping 3 items to the trash and installing a new mobile client; way easier process of updating a mobile utility than some other OSes I know. It's 3 pages because the PDF has giant screen shots of every file folder to make the process fool proof. Hardly scary, certainly not complicated and a cinch for even the "faint of heart".

I get native support in Leo and Sno, no 3rd party WWAN client needed. It's like complaining to Microsoft when Windows 7 doesn't support an old printer or something.

AKA pointless...unless you want to run XP on top of your system, which is easy to do and will get you the XP driver set back.

It's almost like going from the 9x kernel to NT. The GUI is the only thing that didn't change.

| death spirel tech well i highly doubt the mouse is going anywhere anytime soon, show me someone who would prefer to tap a screen all day during work vs your arm resting on the desk/chair arm using a mouse. also no gamer would use a touch screen over a mouse.
and unless the Wii is going to be a failure soon i doubt the Wiimote will be a dead tech. heck that kinda tech has a better chance to replace the mouse then any touch screen. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports

| Chip and Pin credit/debit cards 10. Chip and pin credit cards
Chip and Pin cards are such safer than those RF(radio frequency) cards that keep transmitting your card data to at least 30 feet. Oh but the card readers are setup to only read at about 4 inches, so the guy next to you in line does not pay for your product.
Touchless may be convenient, but when your card gets skimmed(by the backpack fairy) and does not need a password, well you can complain to the bank on that one, when many dollars disappear out of your account. -- Consumer Rights is more than just a suggestion.
