kudos:20 | Depends on your definition of "3G" Some of Japan's "3G" networks are pretty slow, and even if you have a properly 3G device on a 3G network, 3G coverage can be spotty.

Having been in Japan for 1 1/2 months, I can say that coverage is spotty with dismal throughput...at least with my provider (silly me for not going with NTT Docomo). I had high hopes for wireless in Japan, but service appears to be a step backwards and the costs are high. I do miss my VZW. | |
