Time Warner Cable Loses Another 215,000 TV Viewers
by Karl Bode 09:32AM Friday Jan 10 2014
Time Warner Cable states the company lost another 215,000 cable TV customers in the fourth quarter, bringing the cable operator's customer losses for the year to about 825,000, up from 530,000 one year earlier. The company suffered a hit of 306,000 TV subscribers in the third quarter of last year, largely courtesy of their retransmission feud with CBS and the subsequent blacked out content. On a related note Comcast this week stated that the company saw modest, unspecified TV user gains last quarter, the first TV subscriber increase in roughly six years.
