When I had Comcast for INternet, they had 30mbs Powerboost but it only lasted around 20 seconds, then it would drop back down to 8mbs.

Hob Several is three or more and he listed minutes meaning more than one. And if he meant two minutes it would have been two or a couple so it's 3 or more minutes which is several or a few.

| Turbo needed? Do you have to have Turbo? I have the $54.95 standalone RR which clocks in at around 7mbit/400kb (advertised 5/384). I live in Texas and have seen no powerboost yet. Of course... I *am* in Beaumont, which is where RR has decided to cr** on its users.....
Just wondering if powerboost is something I should ever expect or not.

| so it may be more than a minute. it might infact be a 'few' the fine print:
PowerBoost up to 22 Mbps claim is based on Road Runner Turbo's standard maximum download speed of 15 Mbps. Actual speeds may vary. Not all service tiers are available in all areas. Many factors affect speed. Road Runner Turbo with PowerBoost provides a burst of download speed when capacity is available above the customers provisioned download speeds for the first 10 MB of a file. It then reverts to your provisioned speed for the remainder of the download. PowerBoost is a registered trademark of Comcast Corporation. Used with Permission. © 2008 Time Warner Cable Inc.
