Time Warner Cable is continuing its rollout of residential phone service and is now offering its Digital Phone product in Hamilton.
The service uses Voice over Internet Protocol technology, known as VoIP, which allows voice calls to be digitized and sent over high-speed Internet connections or cable lines, as opposed to routing calls over the traditional circuit-based phone lines.
Time Warner launched the service in June and already offers it in Loveland, Milford, West Chester and Indian Hill. It plans to gradually roll it out across Greater Cincinnati.
