Some think claiming that they are "Professional" and have been "a ____________ for 7 years" and "I have ___________ Award"... means a damn thing to anybody.

I laugh at those types! All of them!
This applies to several people even here at DSLReports!

I rebuilt engines for 10 years... does that mean a freakin thing to anybody on an automotive board?
Hell No!
This is why I never try to proclaim it like it does.

Same applies to "I am a Admin for 1000 computers!" or "I am a programmer...!"

Yeah? So is my cat! LMAO!

Ah well... Virtual world is safer for jerks than the real world.

It doesn't mean anything to people on the internet because of how easy it is to make such claims. Not because they don't respect such positions or awards.

Did you know that I was one of the original 4 czars of the Internet back on 1902? We were instrumental in creating what young people today now refer to the "Knowledge Ultra Motorpath"

If anyone knows how the internets work, it's me and Senator Ted Stevens. In fact, I'm the expert that Ted Stevens went to when he wasn't sure how to describe the internet. I used a Subway analogy (with the commuters being all the emails and pornographic images) which he turned into the equally accurate "series of tubes".

As for what I told him when he asked what the internet is not, I just started naming things that I saw around at the time, "There are several things that the internet is not; The internet is not a tree, the internet is not your wife's fine china, the internet is not a big truck, the internet is not a cranky old senator" He chose the truck one.

and all i ever did was was work as an A & P "crew chief",does that make me a "Jet Jockey or fancy modern new BUS driver", or does that make a difference to anyone?

DAaaa does anyone remember do i put air,nitrogen, or helium in the tires on that "bird"..
