"Internet seen shrinking to 2 strong players"

"Internet seen shrinking to 2 strong players"

And years ago they said the same thing about Yahoo and AOL.
The fact is that websites are popular when people associate them with innovation and ease of use, but as soon as the corporate big wigs get their hands on things and screw the website up to make *MORE!!!* money, the users simply move on to the next Google/youtube, which will be slowly replaced by the Digg/wikipedia/whatever, which will be slowly replaced by the DSLReports, which will be the whole internet because it's so awesome.

Overstock and Google are right about NY

The people buying stuff have to declare their taxes. 1922 law. None do but that's NY's problem not Amazon and Overstock's. To quote The Closer's Brenda Lee Johnson, "I declare!" And, why isn't NY going after drug dealers and the sales tax they are supposed to collect? The law doesn't distinguish between legal and illegal sales.

To prove the point, they two companies added, "Did Eliot Spitzer pay sales tax on those hookers? No. Did he pay sales tax on the lingerie and clothing he bought from them? No." /sarcasm

Florida, however, will try to collect taxes on dead people, and, in Miami, somehow they still manage to vote and even swung a Mayoral election. Guess the voting precinct located near a swath of cemeteries was just a bad idea.
