For me anyway, the line dividing Central California from SoCal runs roughly from a line starting at SLO, east to Bakersfield and onto the NV border, Central California starts at a line running from there east to the NV border north to appx.Monterrey Bay, and NorCal runs from there north, but like I said, that's my view of it  Then you get into NW CA, NE, NC CA, etc I live in NW CA, which includes everything from Sonoma County to the Oregon Border and east to the Siskiyou's and Sacramento Valley.

kudos:3 | Re: Santa Maria in So Cal? Actually, Mammoth Mt is considered southern Calif territory so draw a line from roughly Mt Pass on the Nev. Calif. border straight across the state to the Pacific.
That takes in Death Valley, Bakersfield, Santa Maria and San Louis Obisco.
