Verizon and AT&T users have to contact the carriers' customer service and say they're experiencing pandemic-related financial hardship to get the fees dropped.

What a PITA for ATT/Verizon customers. Why not just waive the the caps and fees for the next 60 days like T-Mint?
said by T-Mint :

T-Mobile announced on March 13 that it is upgrading all customers on limited plans to unlimited smartphone data (excluding roaming) for 60 days. Sprint, which is being acquired by T-Mobile, announced the same day that it is doing the same.

lame PLEX offer

i tried this overnight, these misers are NOT giving you a free 3mo $15 Plex Pass,
so this promo is just free viral marketing from click bait web sights toward Plex.

rather all they did was enabled OTA TV EPG without DVR feature in their already free
server:clients and enabled some really crappy streams you won't wanna watch anyway.

basically, all i'm doing is playing with it to confirm it works on my configuration
then i'll pay for Emby - instead of this now outdated and commercialize Plex crap.

Verizon, AT&T and others mobilize to fight a virus hitting close to home

"At this point we have just over 50 V Teamers [Verizon employees] around the world that have the virus, and we're working closely to make sure they are getting the care they need and they have contact with the benefits team and we have a way to help them get resources as they need it," Verizon's HR chief Christy Pambianchi told employees Monday.

I have a random question related to this article and would like to hear the opinions and thoughts of you out there.

- I understand that Human Resources would be communicating the above comment to their employees. I would want my company to do the same, especially if it is directly impacting my local area and / or friends/coworkers.

But my question is, like the articles coming out about Amazon, WHY is this information being communicated to media?
How does any information about how many Verizon or Amazon employees have tested positive for COVID-19 add to the conversation? I maybe understand Amazon, IF it is in the distribution center. But Verizon, ATT or name your company. Am I missing something here.

Unless they contracted it on the job. Which would nearly be impossible to track down and 100% confirm that.

Thoughts everyone.
