Verizon Adds Netflix to FioS TV Cable Boxes Friday Dec 08 2017 07:40 EDT Verizon has joined other cable operators like Comcast in adding Netflix to the company's cable boxes. A recently updated Netflix support page (spotted by Fierce Wireless) indicates the functionality is now available on select Fios set-top devices, including the IPC1100P2 and IPC1100P1 client, as well as the VMS1100 DVR (it's likely Netflix integration will also likely appear on Verizon's looming new FiOS IPTV platform and hardware set for release next year). Cable operators hope that by including Netflix functionality in their set tops they can reduce the rate of cord cutting, an effort that based on continued subscriber losses isn't quite the magic bullet cable ops want it to be. |

netflix for dummiesNetflix on cable company issued boxes whether it be Comcast, Spectrum, or FIOS is really a waste as the experience is so much better on devices such as Roku, Apple TV, etc as others have mentioned.
I can't believe how many people on the FIOS forum are complaining of not having this on their legacy/non VMS boxes. When I had FIOS, they had enough issues with their guide data and widgets, never mind getting Netflix to work properly. | |
