Verizon California Inc., which operates one of the state's largest cellular telephone systems, and Ronald A. Katz Technology Licensing, L.P., of Los Angeles, have settled a patent litigation suit. Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
According to RAK, Verizon California has agreed to pay RAK for a nonexclusive license for technology enabling several telephone services.
Verizon California's license covers calling card services and prepaid calling services; teleconferencing; automated service bureaus; automated call centers; and customer service. But, like all other licenses under the RAK portfolio, the license does not authorize the sale or lease of equipment
