Woohoo! This is good news. I always hated that they locked the broadband plans in with TV. I love having 25/15, but don't need it and would rather have 15/5 and save the $5-10/month.

FinallyAbout time! Hopefully they will let us restructure our packages and this isn't only for new customers. I'd like to get off Ultimate HD and on Prime HD (don't need all the channels), along with 35/35.

Tease :(I wish I could get 180 channels AND 15Mbps for $85 a month. Heck, even $95 a month bundle sounds great in Time Warner area
|

Re: Tease :(Wow, 180 channels and 15Mbps for $85/month?? VZ can make money on that? That is an awesome deal. My DirecTV and 3Mbps DSL from Frontier is nearly double that.
Why didn't Verizon offer this in my area? Oh, now I remember(sarcasm intended), Verizon chose NOT to install any FiOS in the Midwest(with the exception of Ft. Wayne, Indiana). And then, they sold their old copper POTS to Frontier.

I have their middle tier TV package and 25/25 along with their phone service for 60 dollars cheaper than when I had their phone/20-20 internet service and Directv. That was the main reason I switched. That said, DTV has a better DVR and their TV offerings were much better. I was keeping DTV because I wanted the NFL package, but I very much prefer the RedZone channel and wished I switched years ago.

You can get internet alone, but you can't currently mix the mid level internet (25/25) with the base TV package and still receive a bundle discount.

Re: Too bad no broadband only? The problem is that for the cost of FiOS internet only you can get a bundle for TV (PrimeHD) and internet for about the same price.

let's make a deal...verizon acknowledging that video is evolving is a bit of progress meanwhile the overlapping cable companies (time warner, comcast, cablevision) stick their heads in the sand and play ignorant, dumb and dumber / triple down on gorilla phone marketing.
