? Sprint?s sacrifice of Virgin Mobile USA is a worrying shame [androidauthorBy Eric Zeman / @zeman_e
i'm sorry, he's lost all credibility when he refers to Dish Network's CEO Charlie Ergen as Turkish President Recep Erdogan;
from the article "Last summer, Sprint and T-Mobile struck a deal to sell Boost Mobile to Dish networks, which is run by Recep Erdogan. " "Why is Boost’s sale to Dish a problem? Dish CEO Erdogan......." | | camperjust visiting this planet Premium Member join:2010-03-21 Bethel, CT

Verizon moves in the right direction for its customers
From the bloomberg article:
...Verizon Communications Inc. said its Fios video and internet service would abandon the cable-industry tradition of locking customers into long-term bundled packages, ...
The new model, called Mix & Match, lets consumers choose among a variety of video-channel packages and internet-router speeds without signing an annual contract. Verizon also plans to roll various fees and surcharges into the base price of its packages, to clarify what subscribers are really paying....
Definitely a step in the right direction.
While I am a little wary of the "video-channel packages" and how those packages are put together (e.g., Comcast's infamous "Sports and News" package), I like the rolling of the fees and surcharges into the base price of the packages.
I'd like to see other cable providers move in a similar direction, and give control back to their customers. | | tshirt Premium Member join:2004-07-11 Snohomish, WA
