| Penalties? My plan is up in Dec. I've bundled landline, cell, HDTV and net. I want to dump the HDTV and reduce my costs. Anyone know of any penalties dumping my current plan now? (I can't seem to delete or pick the better plans via the managed portal-good going there Verizon)

Almost everyone has been speculating that VZ will pick up a new offering from Apple and/or snag the iPhone should Apple, AT&T negotiations fall through.

That would require making a CDMA hardware revision, and Apple has never made custom hardware for Markets. Japan didn't have the for a long time iPhone until the 3G came out because there is no 2/2.5G GSM in Japan.
A new product line, one that every apple fanboy would have to have, is much more likely for Apple. So the average apple fanboy will have an Apple product with a GSM ATT modem inside, and a different Apple product with a CDMA Verizon modem inside. The product will probably a minor product line such as a Time Capsule or Apple TV.
The CDMA product would probably be the infamous Apple Tablet, and positioned as an enhanced ebook/PMP/HD or SD-ish video Ipod.
Apple traditionally recycles semi-new but existing but not commercialized/poorly commercialized technology with a high dose of focus group studies and usability testing (idiot proofing), and platform integration with the rest of Apple's tech products, plus visual design/style for the art conscious. Apple rarely creates revolutionary products (the revolutionary tag is added by the media), it makes "obvious" evolutionary but conservative products, from already patented/trialled ideas that were suppressed and not commercialized by the corporate status quo.

| Re: "There146;s a very good possibility" of such a union. While I agree mostly, I wouldn't totally rule out a CDMA-based iPhone. How many of the current iPhone users are complaining about AT&T's network and would be willing to purchase another iPhone (in addition to the other to be announced CDMA device)? I'd wager enough to make it worth Apple's while. Especially when Apple will follow up the transition period six months later with a newer model driving even yet another upgrade. That's Apple's marketing strategy that's worked brilliantly for them so far. | |

VZ you're a tad behind times in terms of doing one bill for all.

| onebill It looks like they don't even offer one bill in my area anymore with wireless. They don't offer any discounts either. Although they might still have something for all four services, but I dropped my landline and would not reconsider getting it back unless it only cost me $10 a month including taxes | |

@comcast.net | Re: onebill If you do not re-bundle you will pay the full price for the package (add the discount that is taken off your bill). You can always re-bundle and you can do it before your contract is up with the new bundles that were released the other month.

| On the other hand.. We may be seeing a situation where cable companies bundle with wireless carriers and get a cut of the revenue or provide their own service.. instead of buckets of minutes.. unlimited for around $35-65 a month for the wireless portion (depending on features and package level(s) | |
