Verizon Communications is hooking up with one of Long Island's and the nation's biggest townships for its planned cable TV service.

The Town of Hempstead, which has 320,000 homes, is preparing to negotiate a franchise for the new service that would allow Verizon to compete with Cablevision.

More homes = More money for Verizon and hopefully that means it will add more weight behind the installation process so it can get to me faster!
